Celebrate the end of summer with the quarterly FLUX Screening Series at the Hammer Museum, which features innovative short films, music videos, filmmaker retrospectives and performances. The September 15th program will highlight these films by artists who will be on hand to speak about their work:

Live Video Performance: Miwa Matreyek, Myth and Infrastructure

Acclaimed visual artist Miwa Matreyek will perform the continuation of her Myth and Infrastructure series. Matreyek premiered this multimedia piece at the TED Conference in Oxford in July of 2010, impressing critics and attendees with her masterful artistry as she used her shadow to interact with her projected animation.

World Premiere: Brett Simon, Crooked Arms

Brett Simon’s new short film is an affecting social commentary on how mobile phones interfere with our everyday reality.

MGMT “Congratulations”
Directed by: Tom Kuntz

Tom Kuntz will be present to speak about his first video in two years, the poignant, brand new “Congratulations” for MGMT, which features the band trekking through the desert with a creature designed by Where the Wild Things Are art director, Sonny Gerasimowicz.

Cee-Lo “No One’s Gonna Love You”
Directed by: Skinn

Filmmakers David Hache, Marc-Edouard Leon and Dori Oskowitz, collectively known as Skinny, will be sharing their experiences with their latest work for Cee-Lo, “No One’s Gonna Love You,” which follows a summer fling from its honeymoon phase to the point where reality sets in.

Yeasayer “Madder Red”
Directed by: Andreas Nilsson

In Andreas Nilsson’s new video for Yeasayer’s “Madder Red,” Kristen Bell plays an all-American actress struggling to dote on Bommel, a fading and ghastly-looking creature under her care.

The Hundred in the Hands “Pigeons”
Directed by: Daniels

Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, a.k.a. Daniels, will present their music video “Pigeons” for The Hundred in the Hands, in which a drunk woman ducks out of a party vomiting sparks and experiencing her intoxication in oddly physical ways.

The evening will also feature new videos by Charles de Meyer for Amon Tobin, Anthony Francisco Schepperd for Blockhead and Kristof Luyckx + Michèle Vanparys for Hermanos Inglesos, as well as the new short Words by Everynone in collaboration with NPR and WNYC’s Radiolab.

In 1973, feminist writer/child advocate Gloria Grey published her seminal best-seller We Are A Gentle Angry People: The Rise of Orphan Smack Addiction in the Latter Half of the Twentieth Century. Though it was often filled with inaccuracies, misconceptions, factual errors, and plagiarized portions of unpublished Jacqueline Suzanne novels, it managed to catch of eye of community leader, Marion Barry – the godfather of the anti-Smack movement of the early 70s.

Though unlikely partners, Gray and Barry joined forces to lay the groundwork of what was to become Fight Smack in the Orphanage (FSITO) by organizing the first citywide “Smack-down” in Los Angeles in 1974. Later that year, with help from several government grants and the proceeds of Ms. Gray’s lucrative mail order macramé business, they opened the first FSITO Rehabilitation Center on Crenshaw Boulevard in L.A.

Over the next thirty years, more than one-hundred FSITO Centers opened their doors in locations all across the United States and Guam. These centers are no longer just places that kids can get clean, but symbols of hope that inspire the entire community. Some also offer Pilates.

Sadly, the battle is not over. There are still thousands of Smack-addicted orphans on the streets looking for their next fix.

FSITO refuses to give up. We know that with your help and support we can fight Smack and save the orphans.

Fall Of The Republic Exposes How Brand Obama Is Destroying America

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Alex Jones’ highly anticipated upcoming documentary Fall of the Republic: The Presidency of Barack Obama boldly lifts the lid and unveils the fraud behind Brand Obama and how the globalists are using their newest, and slickest ever puppet to destroy the last vestiges of America’s freedom, Constitution and economy, all while helping the bankers loot the country clean.

The film exposes the agenda that Obama was put in place to accomplish, a world government allied with a bank of the world run by globalist eugenicists hell-bent on destroying America’s first world status and replacing it with a hollow shell of tyranny.

The mind control, the television programming, and all the media talking points that serve to reinforce the image of Brand Obama are laid bare, unveiling the naked ruth, as legendary author and documentary film maker John Pilger recently discussed, that Obama is nothing more than a corporate marketing creation, a skilled hypnotist using seductive tools of propaganda – race, gender and class – to hoodwink the masses into accepting his rhetoric while ignoring the contradiction of his actions.

The film exposes how Brand Obama says one thing – to make people buy into the brand – and then the real Obama does another.

The burgeoning police state, warrantless wiretapping, secret arrests, indefinite detention of citizens, torture, the war in Afghanistan, the war in Pakistan, have all been expanded under Brand Obama despite his promises to reverse them all.

The real question to ask is not which class Obama claims to represent or fight for, but which class Obama serves. Fall of the Republic leaves no room for doubt that the class Obama serves is the elite and it is their agenda he is diligently following.

In terms of focused research and factual content, Fall of the Republic dominates even The Obama Deception for hardcore evidence and documented material. The film proves how Obama was put in power to cement the gains of tyranny and oppression achieved under Bush while the masses slept, lulled into a deep hypnosis with empty promises of change, hope and progress.

The movie picks up from where The Obama Deception left off, highlighting how Obama has continued and expanded the socialized financial takeover introduced by Bush and how the bankster gangster cronies have made off with trillions in taxpayer’s money, bankrupting the future of the country for generations to come.

The hypocrisy and underlying deceit of people like Al Gore, John P. Holdren and Obama himself are displayed in plain view as the cap and trade hoax is demolished and revealed to be nothing less than a total takeover of the American economy, its infrastructure, and a mandate to micromanage every aspect of every citizen’s private life.

Obama’s role in converting American from a free market, free Republic, to a command and control state-run oligarchy controlled by offshore banking interests is explored at length in the documentary.

In order to make this the most hard-hitting documentary we have ever released, the biggest budget ever allocated to a single movie was made available, primarily for the purpose of traveling all over the country to conduct no less than 19 separate sit down interviews for the film.

Personalities who will appear in the movie include Gerald Celente, Alan Watt, Jesse Ventura, climatologist Tim Ball, economist John Perkins, the Oath Keepers, Dr. Sherry Tenpenny, Webster Tarpley, Bob Bowman, Wayne Madsen and George Humphrey.

Fall of the Republic is an unprecedented two hour romp through the highly concentrated and brazen levels of tyranny and corruption displayed by Obama and his administration in the short period since they took office.

The end of the movie is encapsulated by the idea that the fight to maintain and restore a free Republic is a constant struggle against those who harbor the virus of evil in their souls.

Fall of the Republic will be available first exclusively for Prison Planet.tv members on October 21st. If you are not yet a member, click here to get your subscription and enjoy high quality streaming and download of the movie immediately upon its release. Pre-orders for the DVD will be taken on September 21st at the Infowars shopping cart.

Gommora (a.k.a Gommorah)
Written by Roberto Saviano (book), Maurizio Braucci (screenplay), Ugo Chiti (screenplay), Gianni Di Gregorio (screenplay), Matteo Garrone (screenplay), Massimo Gaudioso (screenplay), Roberto Saviano (screenplay)
Directed by Matteo Garrone
Country: Italy
Year: 2008
Genre: Drama

Power, money and blood: these are the “values” that the residents of the province of Naples and Caserta confront every day. They have practically no choice, and are forced to obey the rules of the “System”, the Camorra.
Only a lucky few can even think of leading a “normal” life.

Five stories are woven together in this violent scenario, set in a cruel and ostensibly invented world, but one that is deeply rooted in reality.

www.obamadeception.net

The Obama Deception is a hard-hitting film that completely destroys the myth that Barack Obama is working for the best interests of the American people.

The Obama phenomenon is a hoax carefully crafted by the captains of the New World Order. He is being pushed as savior in an attempt to con the American people into accepting global slavery.

We have reached a critical juncture in the New World Order’s plans. It’s not about Left or Right: it’s about a One World Government. The international banks plan to loot the people of the United States and turn them into slaves on a Global Plantation.

Covered in this film: who Obama works for, what lies he has told, and his real agenda. If you want to know the facts and cut through all the hype, this is the film for you.

Watch the Obama Deception and learn how:

    * Obama is continuing the process of transforming America into something that resembles Nazi Germany, with forced National Service, domestic civilian spies, warrantless wiretaps, the destruction of the Second Amendment, FEMA camps and Martial Law.

    * Obama’s handlers are openly announcing the creation of a new Bank of the World that will dominate every nation on earth through carbon taxes and military force.

    * International bankers purposefully engineered the worldwide financial meltdown to bankrupt the nations of the planet and bring in World Government.

    * Obama plans to loot the middle class, destroy pensions and federalize the states so that the population is completely dependent on the Central Government.

    * The Elite are using Obama to pacify the public so they can usher in the North American Union by stealth, launch a new Cold War and continue the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The information contained in this film is vital to the future of the Republic and to freedom worldwide. President Barack Obama is only the tool of a larger agenda. Until all are made aware, humanity will remain captive to the masters of the New World Order.
